Field Service Technician

The Field Service Technician is a full time position with TDS Inc, a Telecommunications and IT company located in East Norriton PA.  TDS is growing and looking to bring on qualified Voice and Data technicians to join the team. 

Position Requirements:

The Field Technician position requires a strong background in Voice and Data cabling for commercial and live office environments. Additional experience with Avaya IP Office and Nortel Phone Systems is a plus.  The technician should be able to work independently and diagnose system failures, identify alternate solutions, and develop and maintain a positive relationship with TDS customers. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Running new cabling in new or existing buildings.
• Termination and testing of new cabling.
• Responsible for testing and troubleshooting of cable.
• Setting up new telecommunications frames.

Education and Experience:

Associates Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training or work experience.  Avaya and Nortel certification(s) desired but not required.

Must work well with little supervision individually and in a team environment.

Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
